AIIrS Director Speaks at Tehran Conference

AIIrS Director Erica Ehrenberg delivered a paper on "Intercultural Dialogue through Education: The Case for Iranian Studies in the US,” in July 2010, at the International Conference on Multiculturalism and Global Community, convened by the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies in Tehran. Speakers from almost twenty countries attended, as well as many Iranians. Ehrenberg’s talk documented the history of the field of Iranian Studies in the US from the turn of the 20th century to the present and the role AIIrS has played in promoting the field and creating opportunities for US-Iran educational exchanges.
